S-Logic3 technology is based on an innovative design that is reflected in a natural spatial effect. The listening experience is virtually indistinguishable from that of professional studio monitors and, unlike loudspeakers, does not depend on the acoustics of the room.
The DDF is positioned in the sound field, which segments the intensity of the sound. In this way, the directional components of the mid- and high-frequency signals remain virtually unchanged, while the mid- and low-frequencies are partially masked, directed and their surface output distribution is modified, further refining the S-Logic effect.
The spatial image appears natural, with excellent separation and clarity. Everything is uniformly and correctly positioned where it should be. With the holographic stage, subtleties in sound elements can be realised, as information that might otherwise be lost is brought to the fore. The unique shape of the DDF is the result of a long series of tests aimed at translating theoretical requirements into optimised listening experiences. The centre of the transducer remains unchanged, while the relevant low-frequency sound field must circulate around the DDF, which, according to Rayleigh, causes a change in the ITD effect.

Un excellent Ultrasone, au sommet de la gamme Signature. Plutôt équilibré avec de beaux médiums, le plaisir d'écoute est total. Confort correct sans plus, mais la restitution sonore est tellement réussie qu'on lui pardonne.

Globalement une merveille. Il met du temps à s'ouvrir, mais une fois que c'est bien rôdé, c'est vraiment excellent en restitution. Assez calme dans le grave pour un Ultrasone, c'est surtout sur la partie mediums qu'il excelle. Plutôt équilibré comme casque donc. Les oreillettes en sont en revanche peu confortables, des pads en velours comme sur son ancêtre Pro 900 auraient été bien plus agréables. Ou les nouveaux pads comme sur son cousin le Signature Pure, il serait intéressant qu'Ultrasone les généralise sur sa gamme Signature. Bonne qualité de construction générale, et la présentation est très soignée au déballage.
