UVI Falcon 2027: a semi-modular world of sound design

UVI Falcon 2027 is a hybrid virtual instrument designed for musicians, producers and sound designers seeking a highly flexible creative environment. Its semi-modular architecture combines oscillators, effects, modulators and event processors to build everything from simple sounds to complex instruments.

Falcon features 28 oscillators covering both synthesis and sampling. The various methods available allow you to create basses, leads, pads, percussion, evolving textures and hybrid instruments. Oscillators can be freely layered, enabling you to combine multiple sound sources and shape their behaviour within a single patch.

The engine features over 120 effects, which can be applied at various stages of the sound chain. Modulations allow you to animate parameters and evolve timbres over time. MIDI event processors add sequencing, arpeggiation, harmonisation and note transformation functions, enabling the creation of more elaborate performances without the need for additional external tools.

The factory library includes over 1,700 presets and more than 500 wave tables. These resources enable you to start composing quickly or serve as a basis for more advanced sound design work. Falcon extensions and compatible UVI banks can complement this suite.

Falcon 2027 introduces four new oscillators, ten new effects and the Data Envelope modulator, which transforms certain characteristics of a sample into modulation curves. The interface has also been updated with a new tree view of modules, an improved oscillator selector and redesigned editors.
