The Vandoren Optimum LC01PGP ligature provides a simple solution for fine-tuning the response of your Bb clarinet. Designed for ebonite mouthpieces, this metal ligature holds the reed in place with precision while allowing the vibration to develop freely. This freedom of movement often translates into a livelier sound and a more natural attack from the very first notes.

The reed is clamped by a single double-threaded screw. This mechanism distributes pressure evenly around the mouthpiece and makes it easier to adjust the ligature. The reed remains firmly in place without being excessively compressed, which helps to maintain an even vibration and stable emission.

The Optimum system also features three brass pressure plates. By simply changing the plate, you can adjust the behaviour of the instrument: a more pronounced articulation, a more projected sound or a softer vibration. The rose gold finish adds a touch of elegance, while the plastic neck cover protects the instrument between uses.
