Vandoren - LC07PGP Ligature Optimum Or Rose Saxophone Alto + Couvre-bec

The Vandoren Optimum LC07PGP alto saxophone ligature has been designed to hold the reed precisely in place while allowing the vibration to express itself naturally. This makes a big difference to the feel of the instrument: the reed stays firmly in place on the mouthpiece, but retains the freedom it needs to produce a rich, balanced sound.

The clamping system is based on a single double-threaded screw. This mechanism closes the ligature symmetrically around the mouthpiece, distributing the pressure evenly over the reed. This technical detail simplifies installation and helps to maintain a more stable vibration, with a clear response as soon as the note is attacked.

The special feature of the Optimum model is its three interchangeable pressure plates. Each plate slightly modifies the behaviour of the reed: sharper articulation, reinforced projection or softer vibration. The plastic peg cover protects the whole unit when the instrument is stored.
