Vandoren's PP06 Optimum Ligature Plates are designed for soprano and alto saxophonists who like to refine their sound without changing their entire configuration. Supplied with the Optimum ligature, these three gold-plated brass plates subtly transform the vibration of the reed and the feel under the fingers.
Each model brings its own nuance. The lengthwise ribbed plate enhances a rich, lively sound, with clean articulation that facilitates staccato passages.
The version with two horizontal grooves refocuses the timbre, for a more compact, controlled sound, while retaining a natural delivery. Finally, the version with four points of support frees up the reed to a greater extent: the vibration breathes, and the playing becomes more supple and expressive.
