The Vandoren Optimum Ligature Inserts for tenor saxophone are designed for saxophonists who want to go further in tuning their sound. Designed to work with the Optimum ligature, they allow you to modify the behaviour of the reed without changing either the reed or the ligature. A technical detail, but a real impact in terms of feel.
The lengthwise ribbed insert creates a vibration that follows the fibres of the reed. The result: a rich timbre, a supple response and clean articulation, particularly pleasing in fast passages and strong attacks.
The version with two horizontal grooves focuses the sound even more. Projection becomes more compact and focused, while retaining a natural delivery. Finally, the four-point plate allows the reed to vibrate more freely. The playing becomes more open and expressive, ideal for exploring broader nuances.
