Ukulele
The matt black look of the Vox VFU-1-CRW ukulele is striking at first sight. Mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard: a classic combo for sure-fire value! The 17 frets fall effortlessly under your fingers. Every note responds cleanly and without any sluggishness. Built-in effects expand the acoustic range. Echo and chorus add depth without cabling. The AUX input opens the door to backing tracks. The Low-G gives you more solo punch. The mechanics of this model are precise, and nothing moves after adjustment.

Presentation
The Vox VFU-1-CRW is a Frameless electro-acoustic ukulele that's all about raw simplicity. The combination of rosewood and black is a sharp contrast. A ukulele without frame, without diversions, without distraction.
The Belcat OMEGA2 pick-up detects natural harmonics. There's no need to boost the midrange if your playing is precise. With its 300 mm radius and 380 mm pitch, the slap has plenty of bite. Less hollow under the fingers, but more useful tension.
The plywood body limits feedback on stage. Even with a high headphone output, there's no annoying saturation. In the studio, the headphone output remains sober. The signal is dry, with no strange colourations.
The chorus delivers subtle modulation. It doesn't drown out the bass, even in Low-G. The built-in echo is not aggressive. It adds fullness without blurring the dry attacks.
The mono output has a classic impedance. It's easy to send it through a standard pedal. The Graph Tech 6:1 mechanics are precise. Adjustment takes its time, but nothing moves.
The control interface responds well. It's sensitive enough, but not overly so. The knobs are close together, but not obtrusive. Even with wet fingers, it responds!
The AUX input remains dry. No internal loop, but a stable base for working. The 730g weight is easy to forget when you're standing up. With a thin strap, there's no imbalance.
The cover offers no-frills protection. Just what you need to move lightly. Every detail is designed to be straightforward. Nothing unnecessary, nothing blurred.
This is a stage ukulele that won't let go.
