Waves - eMo IEM

The Waves eMo IEM has been developed to enhance the experience of in-ear monitoring in live configurations using the eMotion LV1 console. Conventional stereo monitoring systems can quickly become tiring for musicians, with a sound image that is often narrow and unnatural. eMo IEM brings an immersive approach that positions each source in a much more realistic and comfortable three-dimensional audio space.

Thanks to Waves Nx binaural technology, this extension recreates a 360° soundstage directly in headphones or in-ear systems. Each element of the mix can be precisely positioned in space to improve the separation of instruments, the legibility of vocals and the overall perception of the mix on stage.

The system allows front-of-house and monitor engineers, as well as the artists themselves, to adjust the placement of audio sources. Immersive panning can be controlled directly from the eMotion LV1 console and remotely via the MyMon and MyFOH mobile applications on iOS and Android.

This approach offers a much more open and natural listening experience than traditional stereo monitoring. Musicians enjoy greater comfort during long performances, with a feeling of space that is closer to real acoustic listening. It also makes it easier to perceive the different elements of the mix, particularly on complex or busy stages.

Integration of the eMo IEM is entirely software-based. No external processor or additional routing system is required. Simply activate the immersive mode in the eMotion LV1 monitoring outputs and the returns immediately switch to an immersive 3D environment.

Designed for intensive live use, the processing engine uses very little DSP to conserve the mixer's system resources while maintaining a high level of fluidity during concerts and tours.
