Waves - eMotion LV1 80-Channel Expansion

The Waves eMotion LV1 80-Channel Expansion allows a 64-channel Waves LV1 console to be upgraded to a much more ambitious configuration, suitable for complex live productions requiring more inputs, audio groups and auxiliary mixes. This software upgrade is aimed at users of LV1 Classic systems as well as software-based eMotion LV1 configurations.

Thanks to this extension, the mixing engine has been expanded from 64 to 80 stereo channels. As each channel can be used in mono or stereo, the system can handle up to 160 simultaneous inputs when all channels are configured in mono. This extra capacity is particularly useful for large stages, festivals, broadcast productions, complex music shows or monitor set-ups requiring a large number of audio sources.

The extension also adds 8 extra busses, bringing the total to 52. These new busses can be configured according to the needs of the sound engineer: additional audio groups or auxiliary monitor sends. The system can thus be expanded to 24 monitor auxes or 16 audio groups, offering considerable flexibility for FOH and monitor configurations.

Another advantage of this upgrade is the ease with which it can be deployed. No hardware modifications are required: upgrading is done via a software licence. Users retain the architecture, ergonomics and work habits of their LV1 environment, while benefiting from superior mixing capacity.

This extension requires a 64-channel LV1 console and a V16 version of the eMotion LV1 software. It allows Waves systems to adapt more easily to the needs of modern productions while retaining the flexibility and low latency of the SoundGrid ecosystem.
