Waves - TRACT System Calibration

Waves TRACT System Calibration is an acoustic measurement and correction tool designed to quickly optimise a broadcast system, mixing environment or monitoring returns. Developed to work with Smaart, the world reference in real-time audio analysis, TRACT allows you to precisely measure the response of a room and then automatically generate correction curves adapted to the system used.

The plugin analyses frequency and phase problems in order to correct system irregularities without the need for multiple manual adjustments. This approach results in a more coherent, legible and reliable reproduction in concert environments, fixed installations, broadcast sets or production studios. In practice, this facilitates mixing decisions while reducing problems associated with room resonance, subs misalignment or broadcast inconsistencies.

TRACT offers two types of FIR processing: minimal phase to limit latency and linear phase to preserve maximum phase coherence. The plug-in also incorporates eight additional FIR equalisation bands with several types of professional filters for manual fine-tuning of the correction curve. Users can record up to eight different measurements and then merge them to obtain a more homogeneous listening zone, rather than a single listening point.

The Sub Zoom mode facilitates the alignment of low frequencies and improves the impact of subs while limiting the masking and mudding phenomena in the low frequencies. TRACT can be used in Waves eMotion LV1, SuperRack or the main VST3, AU and AAX compatible digital audio workstations.

Compatible with Mac and Windows, TRACT System Calibration is based on the Waves V16 platform and is Apple Silicon compatible.
