Presentation
The WORK SYNTHEA 2500 is a Class D installation amplifier designed for professional audio projects requiring high power output in a compact rack-mount format. Capable of delivering 2 × 500 W into 4 Ω or up to 1000 W in bridged mode on a 100 V line, it is equally suited to low-impedance systems and distributed sound reinforcement set-ups.
Beyond its role as an amplifier, the SYNTHEA 2500 incorporates a fully-fledged audio processing platform thanks to its internal matrix DSP. This allows for the management of up to four mono inputs or two stereo inputs, with flexible output configuration for one or two independent zones. This architecture facilitates the creation of systems suited to complex environments such as hotels, shopping centres, conference halls or cultural venues.
The on-board digital processing offers a wide range of adjustment tools: 10-band parametric equalisation, LPF, HPF and BPF filters, as well as several types of professional crossovers including Butterworth, Bessel and Linkwitz-Riley. These functions allow for precise fine-tuning of the sound reproduction to suit the venue’s acoustics and the speakers used.
The SYNTHEA 2500 offers comprehensive connectivity, including balanced and unbalanced analogue inputs, an S/PDIF digital link for interconnecting multiple units without the need for additional conversion, an Ethernet port, GPIO and standalone Wi-Fi access. Configuration can be carried out directly via its own access point without the need to install dedicated software.
With its 2U 19-inch rack format and lightweight design weighing just 2.8 kg, this amplifier combines power, ease of installation and advanced control capabilities. It is a suitable solution for professional fixed installations requiring centralised and scalable audio management.
