Presentation
The Xvive PX-B is the central element of the PX personal monitoring system, acting as a bridge between the mixing console and the PX-A mixer. This compact and robust 3-channel snake is designed to simplify the management of stage monitors and give musicians individual control over their listening without complex configuration.
The PX-B connects directly to a console's auxiliary outputs or return busses via its three balanced XLR inputs. For added flexibility, it comes with three XLR to 6.35 mm (TS) adaptors, allowing connection to a variety of equipment such as audio interfaces, processors or multitrackers. These signals are then transmitted to the PX-A via a Cat 5 cable (included in the complete pack), capable of carrying digital audio data with perfect stability, without signal loss or parasitic noise, even over distances of up to 60 metres (200 ft).
One of the great strengths of the PX-B is its PoE (Power over Ethernet) power supply. By connecting a 9 V / 2 A negative-centre power supply to the PX-B, it simultaneously sends the audio signal and electrical power to the PX-A via the same Ethernet cable. This ingenious design eliminates the need for an additional power supply on the mixer, reducing stage clutter and simplifying cabling. So the system can be used on stage, in rehearsal or in the studio, without compromising on quality or reliability.
The transmission quality of the PX-B ensures clear, faithful reproduction, perfectly suited to in-ear monitoring applications. The analogue signals from the console are converted and sent digitally to the PX-A, guaranteeing extremely low noise levels and preserved dynamics.
The PX-B is also at the heart of extended configurations. When combined with a PX-H Hub, it can power up to five PX-A units, each with its own personal mix. In this case, a single PX-B and a single power supply are all that's needed to run the entire system, considerably reducing the number of cables and simplifying the overall installation.
