ESI Audiotechnik - MoCo

ESI Audiotechnik's MoCo is designed for studios looking to control listening levels without compromising the integrity of the audio signal. Its entirely passive operation excludes any active electronics in the signal path, guaranteeing maximum transparency between the source and the monitoring loudspeakers. The incoming signal emerges identically, with no coloration, no parasitic amplification and no symmetry conversion.

The controller provides two separate stereo inputs for connecting different audio sources. Input A uses balanced TRS connectors, while input B accepts both unbalanced RCA connections and a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack. This flexibility makes it easy to integrate professional audio interfaces, external players or more compact sources without complex adapters.

The MoCo also offers two independent output paths. Output A is available on balanced XLR connectors, perfectly suited to active monitor speakers. Output B offers balanced or unbalanced TRS jack connections as well as a stereo mini-jack, making it possible to feed a second listening system or alternative equipment. Each output can be activated or deactivated independently, offering precise routing control.

Built-in control functions meet the practical needs of studio work. A selector switch lets you quickly choose the input source, while a mono button lets you check the mono compatibility of a mix. The mute function instantly cuts the output signal, which is useful when changing configurations. A left/right switch can also be used to invert channels, useful for diagnosing placement or wiring problems. The large central potentiometer ensures progressive and precise adjustment of listening volume.
