Presentation
The Xvive PX-A is an individual monitoring tool designed for musicians, singers and sound technicians who want to retain total control over their listening, whatever the situation. Compact, robust and easy to use, it combines a 3-channel mixer with a high-quality headphone amplifier, ideal for stage, studio or rehearsal sessions.
Belt-mounted, the PX-A can receive three separate audio signals, such as vocals, rhythm section and a melodic instrument, and instantly create a custom mix. Each input has its own volume control, while a master level control adjusts the overall volume of the headphones or in-ears. This autonomy of listening eliminates the need for multiple feedback requests to the sound engineer and allows everyone to adapt their mix to their needs in real time.
Thanks to its three balanced XLR inputs, the PX-A is easy to connect to a mixing console or any other monitoring system. The signals are then transmitted digitally via an Ethernet cable (Cat 5), ensuring clear, interference-free transmission up to 200 feet (approx. 60 metres). The same cable also carries power when a 9 V / 2 A mains adapter is connected to the PX-B (snake) box, using Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology.
For mobile musicians or small set-ups, the PX-A can also run on two AAA batteries, providing up to 5 hours of autonomy. This dual power option makes the system particularly flexible, whether for live performances or outdoor recording.
The unit also features a stereo panning function on each channel, accessible via internal dip switches, allowing signals to be positioned left, centre or right. This function enhances listening comfort and makes it easier to distinguish between sources in your personal mix.
The 1/8" stereo mini-jack (TRS) headphone output delivers 2 × 150 mW at 16 Ω, ensuring a clear, accurate and powerful signal, even with low-impedance in-ears. The ergonomics of the PX-A, designed for the stage, include a lockable RJ45 connector to ensure a stable audio link, even when on the move.
