Sounds Keyboard GrandTouch Yamaha sought to reproduce exactly the strength that only a mechanical piano provides. The result is an even more precise touch, offering a wider range of shades than ever before. Now all gaming shades are possible, the slight hint and hushed when gently squeezed his keyboard, powerful and brilliant note when playing vehemently, just as on a grand piano.

Keys covered with ebony and synthetic ivory (Wood used for white keys), to play intensely: our fingers are much more sensitive than we imagine, and for pianists, the texture of the keys Is of paramount importance. The white keys are covered with synthetic ivory of excellent quality, developed by Yamaha. The blacks, on the other hand, feature a synthetic ebony finish. The synthetic ivory reproduces the tactile sensations of the keys formerly made of ivory on the old pianos. This coating offers a soft, slightly porous surface and is highly absorbent, thus avoiding fingers sliding on the keyboard after long hours of use. Exhaust mechanism: the exhaust mechanism on a piano With the tail releasing the hammers from the rest of the mechanics, so that they can bounce away from the strings after they have been struck, in order to avoid any interference with the vibration of these. This mechanism produces a slight resistance when the keys are pressed gently. Anxious to perfect the sensations on the three axes that are the touch, the sound and the pedals, summarized in the concept "Real Grand Expression", we decided to develop an exhaust mechanism in order to offer you an exceptional touch. The Clavinova have this exhaust mechanism which reproduces this perceived sensation when the key arrives at the end of the race. It is designed in such a way that the slight resistance occasioned is only perceptible when the keys are pressed gently, in order to recover the same sensations as on a real grand piano. The keyboards have been adjusted to provide additional friction that balances the repetition of notes without hindering performance.
