Yamaha - MG10X

Yamaha has launched its new MG-X mixing console models, designed for live and installed sound applications where high-quality SPX effects are required.

In the year that Yamaha celebrates its 50-year history of analogue mixing consoles, the new MG-X models sit between the acclaimed MG and MG-XU models, which are used in a wide range of situations, from medium-sized live music rooms and corporate events to home studios, streaming, podcasting and vlogging.

While the rise of streaming audio has made the MG-XU models very popular with online users, thanks to their USB functionality, there is significant customer demand in the conference and corporate event markets for compact mixers with high-quality SPX effects, but without USB. The new MG16X, MG12X and MG10X models have been launched to meet this demand.

Yamaha's SPX effects processors have been synonymous with excellence in audio multi-effects since 1985. The MG-X's SPX effects work harmoniously with the D-PRE discrete mic preamplifiers and custom-built MG01 operational amplifiers to produce stunning sound that fits easily into any space. In addition, the one-button compressor gives users instant access to optimised compression settings for speech, vocals and instruments with a single rotary control.

All three MG-X models feature a robust metal chassis and can be installed quickly and easily wherever needed. The MG10X can be mounted on a microphone stand with the optional BMS-10A adaptor, while the MG12X has an optional 19-inch rack-mount kit and the MG16X has integrated rack-mount brackets.

The MG-X models also feature a master section in a contemporary new grey colour, which will blend into the equipment space while providing an instant visual reference for quick location of master controls.
