Yamaha - P-S500 Black

The Yamaha P-S500 Black is a portable P-Series electronic piano designed to provide an enriching and immersive playing experience for musicians of all levels.

With 88 keys and a Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard, this piano offers an authentic playing feel, mimicking the response and dynamics of an acoustic grand piano.

The P-S500 features the Stream Light function, which helps beginners to learn by following the LED lights above the keys.

Keyboard sensitivity is adjustable with six different levels, allowing users to customise the keyboard response to their preferences.

The integrated LCD display shows sheet music and lyrics, making it easy to read and learn songs.

The P-S500's sound generator uses CFX sampling, offering high-quality piano sounds such as the Yamaha CFX Grand and Bösendorfer Imperial.

With 100 built-in voices and up to 660 voices available via the Smart Pianist application, this piano offers a wide range of sounds, including 13 VRM voices, 111 Super Articulation voices, 25 Natural voices, 27 Sweet voices, 47 Cool voices and 58 Live voices, as well as 29 organ voices.

The 256-note polyphony ensures a smooth performance, even during complex passages.

Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) technology and binaural sampling on the CFX Grand add a dimension of realism, recreating the nuances and resonances of an acoustic piano.

The P-S500 is also equipped with a variety of effects, including 5 types of reverb (58 with the Smart Pianist application), 5 Master EQs, Intelligent Acoustic Control, and Stereophonic Optimizer. The Vocal Harmony function offers 44 vocal harmonies to enhance vocal performances.

For accompaniment, the P-S500 offers 100 built-in styles and up to 370 styles with the Smart Pianist application, including Pro, Session, Free Play and Pianist styles. Full chord and root detection allow intuitive interaction with accompaniments.

The piano also features 100 preset songs (403 with the Smart Pianist app), lesson and guide functions, as well as Layer and Dual modes and a metronome.

In terms of connectivity, the P-S500 has two headphone outputs, two AUX outputs, a microphone input, an AUX input, and USB to Host and USB to Device ports.

The speakers include two 120 x 60 mm oval woofers and two 25 mm tweeters, delivering RMS power of 2 x 20 W + 2 x 6 W, guaranteeing optimum sound quality.

This model is compatible with the L-300 stand and LP-1 pedalboard, sold separately, and can be connected to the Smart Pianist application via a wired connection or wirelessly using the UD-WL01 Wifi/USB adapter, sold separately.
