Presentation
The Pacifica SC Professional Ash Pink - reference PACP11SM offers a slightly different take on the Professional range. While it retains the common DNA of the series, this version with maple fingerboard clearly emphasises precision of attack, legibility and a more immediate playing feel, much appreciated in modern contexts.
The alder body, optimised using Acoustic Design technology, ensures balanced resonance and an even response across the entire frequency range. The guitar responds quickly, with a clean low end, a clear midrange and well-defined highs. The soft, slightly satin Ash Pink finish contrasts elegantly with the maple fingerboard, reinforcing the instrument's contemporary identity.
The maple neck, with its Rounded-C profile, has a satin finish that encourages fluid, relaxed playing. The maple fingerboard, combined with a compound radius of 9.5 to 12 inches, gives the instrument an extra sense of precision, particularly when playing clean attacks, articulate chords and rhythmic patterns. The jumbo stainless steel medium frets add to this feeling of clarity, while guaranteeing excellent durability over time.
On the electronics side, we find the S-H configuration with Reflectone™ pickups, developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs. These pickups stand out for their balance and ability to reproduce the nuances of playing without excessive coloration. The maple fingerboard further accentuates this natural clarity. The Focus Switch, integrated into the tone control, thickens the sound by boosting midrange and bass, offering a simple and musical alternative for moving from a precise register to a denser sound.
The Gotoh hardware, with locking action and compensated bridge with three brass bridges, ensures excellent tuning stability and efficient vibration transmission. The factory-applied I.R.A. treatment contributes to a feeling of suppleness and maturity from the very first hours of playing. Supplied in a hard case, the Pacifica SC Professional Ash Pink (PACP11SM) is aimed at guitarists looking for a precise, modern and responsive instrument, without sacrificing comfort or versatility.
