The stack’s tubes glow white as the Jet Guitars JT-30 Gold electric guitar from the Elite series injects its cutting presence into the heart of the mix, piercing through the rhythm section with a crisp, uncompromising crack. From the very first attack, the custom-wound S.S. Alnico pickup configuration (in S.S. pickup configuration) harnesses the raw energy of the original strings – D’Addario EXL110 (fitted as standard) – to deliver an organic, biting signal. This authentic electric guitar twang imbues funk riffs and blues lines with explosive dynamics, channelled through a 3-position switch combined with 1 volume and 1 tone control that allow you to adjust the tone on the fly. The rigid anchoring provided by the Wilkinson WTB bridge instantly transmits the impact of every note to the pickup, preventing any dip in frequency response.

Under the fingers, the wood responds with reassuring firmness and a natural, woody resonance. The C-shaped neck profile moulds perfectly to the palm of the hand, whilst the quarter-sawn, roasted light maple neck ensures unbeatable structural rigidity in the face of temperature fluctuations. The left hand glides across the 22 Medium Jumbo frets (with precise dimensions of 2.6 mm) set into a superb fingerboard: roasted maple, visually guided by round black inlays. The balanced profile, with a radius of 241.3 mm (9.5″), allows for smooth, bold bends without ever restricting movement, whilst the fibreglass pickguard withstands repeated impacts from the pick.

The tonal character of this solid-body model stems from a three-piece alder body (comprising an alder top, alder sides and an alder back), a wood renowned for its ideal acoustic neutrality, which projects well-defined mid-range frequencies. Its gold colour, enhanced by a metallic finish, reflects light, altering the listener’s visual perception of the stage. At the end of the scale length of 647.7 mm (25.5″), the strings rest on a high-end PPS nut, which eliminates unwanted friction to guide the signal to the Wilkinson WJ-55 Vintage (or vintage Wilkinson tuners). This mechanical stability, reinforced by superb chrome hardware, ensures impeccable tuning accuracy during extended sessions, after which the instrument can be safely stowed away in its included deluxe gig bag following the encore.
