Presentation
The Pacifica SC Professional Black Metallic is aimed at guitarists who are looking for a reliable, consistent and perfectly controlled instrument. Yamaha's aim here is not to impress with spectacular choices, but to offer a balanced guitar capable of adapting to a wide range of situations without ever losing control.
The alder body, designed using Acoustic Design technology, delivers a very even response. The guitar delivers stable dynamics, with a clean low end, a clear midrange and accurate highs, making it particularly comfortable in situations where clarity of play is paramount. The deep, elegant Black Metallic finish reinforces the impression of a serious, timeless instrument built to last.
The maple neck, with its Rounded-C profile, is immediately welcoming. Its satin finish gives a natural gliding feel, while the maple fingerboard, combined with a compound radius of 9.5 to 12 inches, accentuates the clarity of the attack and the definition of the notes. This configuration is ideal for guitarists who appreciate a clean response, whether in precise rhythmic playing or in more articulate passages. The jumbo stainless steel medium frets contribute to this feeling of consistency and guarantee excellent durability.
The electronics are based on Reflectone pickups, developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs. Their balanced, transparent character faithfully reproduces the nuances of playing, without excessive coloration. The S-H configuration offers real versatility, while the Focus Switch, integrated into the tone control, allows the midrange and bass to be boosted for a denser sound, while retaining natural dynamics.
The Gotoh hardware, with its locking action and compensated bridge with three brass bridges, ensures excellent tuning stability and efficient vibration transmission. The I.R.A. treatment completes the package, providing a more open playing experience from the very first hours. Delivered in a hard case, the Pacifica SC Professional Black Metallic is a guitar you can trust, designed to accompany you over the long term, without compromising on comfort or precision.
