The Yamaha Pacifica SC Professional Sunny Orange embodies the modern evolution of the Pacifica single cut, designed for guitarists looking for an instrument that is expressive, comfortable and technically impeccable. Handcrafted in Japan, this PACP11S boasts a level of finish and control worthy of the brand's top-of-the-range models, and each one comes with its own certificate of authenticity.

Its two-piece alder body, crafted using Acoustic Design technology, optimises the flow of vibrations between the body and the neck. This acoustic modelling aims to improve the instrument's natural resonance, dynamic response and overall balance, while maintaining excellent note definition, even at low volume. The bright, contemporary Sunny Orange finish is fully in keeping with the 'City Pop' aesthetic of this new generation of Pacifica.

The maple neck, with its Rounded-C profile, has a custom-tinted satin finish that feels particularly good in the hand. Combined with a rosewood fingerboard with a compound radius from 9.5 to 12 inches, it makes for comfortable playing in open positions, while facilitating bends and fast high notes. The medium jumbo stainless steel frets provide extra durability and a smooth playing feel, ideal for intensive use on stage or in the studio.

The electronics are based on an S-H configuration equipped with Reflectone pickups, developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs. The single pickup in bridge position and the humbucker neck offer a wide range of sounds, from clear, articulate textures to thicker, more modern tones. The Focus Switch, integrated into the tone control, acts like a passive boost by accentuating the midrange and bass, giving the impression of an overdriven pickup without any loss of dynamic range.

In terms of hardware, Yamaha has chosen top-of-the-range Gotoh components, with locking tuners and a compensated bridge with three brass bridges, guaranteeing tuning stability, sustain and precision. The PACP11S also benefits from I.R.A. treatment, which simulates the natural ageing of the instrument so that it feels 'played' from the very first notes. The whole set comes in a hard case, ready to accompany the instrument on any stage.
