The Pacifica SC Standard Plus Desert Burst stands out for its very progressive sound response. The alder body, manufactured using Acoustic Design technology, ensures that vibrations are transmitted evenly between the body and the neck. The result is a balanced resonance and constant sustain, without over-emphasising any particular frequency range. The Desert Burst finish, with its warm, natural gradation, highlights the lines of the body and reinforces the instrument's organic character.

The maple neck, with its rounded C-profile, is designed to be easy to grip. Its satin finish makes it easy to move the neck quickly and contributes to relaxed playing, whether in rhythm or solo. The rosewood fingerboard, combined with a 12" radius, provides a comfortable, even surface, while the stainless steel medium jumbo frets ensure a precise attack and excellent durability.

The electronics are based on an S-H configuration equipped with Reflectone pickups, developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs. Their tonal balance covers a wide spectrum, from clear, articulate twang to fuller, more modern sounds. The Focus Switch, integrated into the tone control, acts as a passive midrange and bass reinforcement, allowing the sound to be thickened without losing its initial definition, a particularly useful feature when switching from one register to another without changing the amp setting.

The Gotoh hardware, with its locking tuners and compensated bridge with three brass bridges, contributes to the instrument's overall stability and clarity of attack. The result is a coherent, reliable guitar that's a pleasure to play, designed for both everyday use and live performance.
