Designed to make it easy to adapt the iXm’s audio capture setup, the Yellowtec iXm Mic Cardioid Dynamic PRO Head YT5051 features an interchangeable design and a cardioid polar pattern. This makes it a versatile solution for a range of environments, including interviews at events or outdoors where there is traffic noise.
The TOTO (Twist-Off-Twist-On) mechanism allows the fitted head to be removed and quickly replaced with another, so that the sound pickup can be adapted to the conditions encountered. The dynamic PRO capsule stands out for the robustness of its sound transducer components, particularly at high sound pressure levels.
Its response is less sensitive in the higher frequency ranges, whilst the slower diaphragm produces different recording results. Its robust, dark grey metal construction completes the package. The YT5051 is also compatible with the iXm windscreen and benefits from the iXm’s LEA system for balancing frequency ranges and levels during field recordings.
