The Yellowtec iXm Mic supercardioid dynamic PRO Head YT5061 adapts the iXm microphone for sound recording applications requiring a supercardioid polar pattern. This PRO dynamic head can be quickly replaced thanks to the TOTO mechanism and combines a robust metal construction with durable sound transducer components, particularly at high sound pressure levels.
Its supercardioid polar pattern is designed for interviews in extremely noisy environments, such as large events, sporting events, motor races or concerts. Changing the head allows the iXm’s recording configuration to be adjusted in a matter of seconds.
The capsule also features a recording pattern that is less sensitive in the higher frequency ranges, whilst the slow-response diaphragm produces different recording results. Its interchangeable design offers flexibility in polar pattern selection depending on recording conditions.
Its dark grey metal construction completes the package, and all iXm capsules are compatible with the iXm windscreen. The YT5061 is therefore a dedicated option for sound recording requiring a supercardioid polar pattern, depending on the conditions encountered.
