Zildjian - A Custom EFX 14"

The Zildjian A Custom EFX 14" brings a different colour to the kit. Here, we're not looking for a classic crash or a discreet cymbal. As soon as you hit it, it develops a very fast attack with a trashy, dry character that stands out instantly in the mix. Its compact 14-inch size further accentuates this feeling of nervousness and responsiveness.

The laser-drilled design plays an essential role in its sonic behaviour. The cut-outs drastically reduce sustain and create that explosive response followed by a very short decay. As a result, the accents remain precise, powerful and very modern without cluttering up the soundstage. In fast passages, breakdowns or more technical playing, this cymbal helps to punctuate the groove with great impact.

Unlike the darker K EFX, this A Custom version has a brighter, more incisive personality. You'll find the clear, shimmering texture typical of the A Custom, with a sharper sound that works very well in modern rock, metal, fusion or hybrid effects-oriented set-ups.

Thanks to its thin weight and glossy finish, it's extremely easy to play and also works perfectly stacked with other cymbals. Made from B20 alloy, this A Custom EFX develops a very modern sound identity, ideal for enriching a set-up with more aggressive, faster textures.
