The Zildjian Orchestral Gong 26" takes up the spirit of the large Chau gongs used in symphony orchestras, brass bands and many stage productions. Made in China according to ancient traditions, this bronze model has a one-piece construction and is hand-hammered to give it a distinctive sound.
When struck, it develops deep, dark bass tones accompanied by warm harmonics that naturally expand in space. Its sonic behaviour remains highly nuanced: it can create meditative, enveloping ambiences for well-being or relaxation, while retaining the ability to produce a more marked and powerful attack when the music becomes more intense.
Its traditional finish reinforces its authentic aesthetic, while its pre-punched and corded design makes it easy to install on a suitable stand.
