Zildjian’s traditional 12-inch gong incorporates the characteristics of classic Chinese models into a compact format, making it easy to integrate into a wide range of musical contexts. Manufactured in China using time-honoured craftsmanship, it is cast as a single piece of cast iron and produces the distinctive tone sought after by percussionists, orchestras and contemporary music ensembles.

Despite its smaller diameter, this gong produces a rich and expressive sound. The partial turning on the front and back surfaces helps to balance its acoustic response, with a precise attack followed by a complex blend of warm harmonics.
