Akai - MPK Mini IV Grey
Akai is pleased to present the MPK Mini IV, the 4th iteration of a well-known and acclaimed model. With its 25 enlarged mini keys, more responsive and expressive than ever, this compact keyboard embodies Akai Professional's philosophy of efficiency, portability and playing pleasure. Behind its neat retro grey front panel, it houses a bright colour screen, eight RGB MPC pads inherited from the legend, and pitch and modulation wheels of exemplary fluidity. The whole thing is built around a calibrated workflow to give shape to your ideas in the blink of an eye. The Scale and Chord modes provide harmonic coherence, the advanced arpeggiator breathes life into the mix, and the assignable encoders connect you to your DAW with surgical precision. Between control, expressiveness and immediate inspiration, the MPK Mini IV turns every session into a sonic playground. And like any self-respecting instrument, it's got that little extra something that makes you smile from the very first note.
Presentation
Beneath its minimalist exterior, this little monster hides a formidable production powerhouse. The central colour LED display gives you clear visual feedback on every parameter, ideal for adjusting your mix without looking up from the keyboard. Eight assignable rotary encoders are waiting to be linked to your favourite plug-ins, while the eight RGB backlit MPC pads inherit the company's know-how: sensitive to pressure and velocity, they transform your groove into a real rhythmic signature.
The enhanced transport section lets you control your DAW without using the mouse. Start, stop, rec, everything responds instantly to smooth the creative flow. Scale and Chord modes guide your ear and fingering, opening up unsuspected melodic horizons. The advanced arpeggiator, with its Pattern, Freeze and Mutate functions, brings moving textures to life, perfect for exploring other sonic territories or injecting a little madness into your arrangements.
With its upgraded USB-C port, MIDI output and sustain pedal input, the MPK Mini IV's connectivity adapts to any environment. Pre-configured DAW scripts for Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Bitwig and Cubase ensure frictionless 1-to-1 integration. And to complete the package, the Studio Instrument Collection - a bank of over 1,000 sounds from AIR, Akai Pro and Moog - propels you immediately into the material: round basses, textured leads, ethereal pads ready to come to life.
