Arturia - KeyStep Pro
The Arturia KeyStep Pro is a versatile USB master keyboard featuring 37 velocity-sensitive mini-keys with aftertouch. It features a 4-track polyphonic sequencer capable of managing up to 16 patterns per track, each pattern comprising up to 64 steps and 16 notes per step. The first track can also be used as a 16-part rhythm sequencer. KeyStep Pro lets you chain up to 16 patterns and manage scenes/snapshots for maximum flexibility both live and in the studio.
Presentation
With an ever-growing collection of modular devices, analogue synthesizers, drum machines and software instruments, KeyStep Pro lets you play and control in unison.
KeyStep Pro has four independent sequencers that control the synth, module or drum machine you want. The sequencer includes 16 patterns per track, and each pattern can be up to 64 steps long and contain 16 notes per step. Up to 16 patterns can be chained together to create an entire song or sections of a live ensemble.
What's more, the built-in scene memory takes snapshots of all the sequences in a pattern, so you can switch instantly between sets of sequences. Everything is saved in a project, which can be loaded, duplicated, modified, edited and re-recorded.
There are 4 CV, Gate and Mod outputs, 8 dedicated drum Gate outputs, clocks, a MIDI input, 2 MIDI outputs, a solo metronome output, a sustain input to let you express yourself, a USB port for easy powering and DAW/softsynth control.
If you like working in the machine, KeyStep Pro easily sequences and articulates your virtual instruments, synchronising everything with your audio sequencer.
Switch to dedicated control mode to pilot the parameters of your favourite synths and effects. Playing with KeyStep Pro is fun and easy, with intuitive, instant access to inspiring features.
Use multi-mode arpeggiators, randomness, an easy tuning mode and real-time recording to create on the fly, while clear OLED displays and LED-lit controls help you see it all in the dim lights of the stage.
