Some guitars immediately make you want to stay a few minutes longer to play them. The Altamira FZ-1 falls into this category. As soon as you pick it up, it doesn't feel like a traditional classical guitar or a modern folk guitar: it's somewhere in between, with a freer approach.
Its format is inspired by the famous Torres guitars, but with an interpretation designed for today's musicians. The 640mm scale, thinner 48mm nut and 16-inch radius really change the feel. Moves become more natural, chords more fluid and playing seems more spontaneous, especially for guitarists who alternate between several instruments.
The solid spruce top gives a sharper attack and great definition to every note. Behind it, the laminated sycamore maple adds precision and a feeling of openness that lets the arrangements breathe. This personality works particularly well for fingerstyle, acoustic jazz, crossover repertoire or modern compositions.
Designed to play at home as well as in concert, the FZ-1 features the Fishman Presys Blend system. When plugged in, it reproduces natural playing without losing the character of nylon strings.
The ANS® system also makes it easier to adjust the neck over time, a discreet but invaluable detail for keeping a guitar that's fun to play for a long time. The padded case included completes the package for easy transport of the instrument.
