Arturia's V Collection 11 Pro wasn't put together in a hurry between two coffees. It's the result of years of modelling, painstaking analysis of analogue circuits and rare keyboards to recreate instruments that have shaped the evolution of music. Each emulation goes far beyond simply copying and pasting sound. You can really feel the behaviour of a vintage synth, the subtleties of a drawbar organ or the clacking of an electric piano. There's even a good chance that you'll end up talking to your plugins. Nothing to worry about, it happens all the time.
In addition to its generous collection of virtual keyboards, V Collection 11 Pro includes Analog Lab Pro, a benevolent tool that saves you hours of rummaging around for "that warm sound with a bit of grit". Over 12,000 presets are sorted, tagged and customisable. You'll spend more time here than you'll ever admit, especially when one click is all it takes to switch from a cinematic pad to a devastating 80s lead.
