Arturia - MiniFreak
Arturia MiniFreak 37-key hybrid synthesiser with aftertouch, for a new dimension of sonic creativity. The big brother of the excellent MicroFreak, the MiniFreak is a polyphonic hybrid keyboard with 6 voices, step sequencer, LFOs, built-in effects, 256 factory presets + 256 user presets, MIDI and DAW compatibility. It fuses two digital sound engines with analogue filters, extraordinary sequencing and instant-access modulation, all in a fun, curious and sometimes unpredictable way. A 2.0 update brings you even more content.
Presentation
The two sound engines feature a total of 22 algorithms, including wavetable, phase distortion, noise, superwave and formant modelling. The second engine can also process the first, opening the door to cross-modulation, internal FM effects and unprecedented audio morphing.
Each voice has a classic ADSR envelope, a cyclic envelope and two LFOs, all of which can be modulated via a matrix with 7 sources and 13 destinations. Customisable LFO curves and a resonant analogue filter give MiniFreak a unique sonic character combining digital grain and analogue warmth.
Designed for both live performance and studio production, MiniFreak features a 64-step sequencer with 4 modulation channels, an arpeggiator with advanced functions (ratchet, random octave, scale, hold, etc.) and three digital effects as inserts or sends, including chorus, phaser, delay, distortion and shimmer. Its full connectivity (MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB, clock in/out, audio in, sustain pedal) makes it an ideal control centre or addition to a modular or software setup.
Last but not least, each MiniFreak comes with MiniFreak V, its identical software version, so you can find all your sounds in a DAW environment. The 256 factory presets and 256 user slots guarantee fluid navigation between sound exploration and concrete production. Compact, lightweight and powerful, the Arturia MiniFreak combines intuitiveness, creativity and sonic depth.
