Stereo Microphone
The CK-40 is a highly versatile stereo microphone, featuring two independent large-diaphragm capsules for easy use with XY, MS or Blumlein techniques. Its silent FET Class-A circuit, multiple polar patterns and 90° swivel make it a precise and flexible tool for studio, ambient or acoustic instruments.

Presentation
The Avantone CK-40 takes a highly flexible approach to stereo recording. It is based on two 35mm condenser capsules, stacked extremely close together to minimise phase problems while delivering a clean, stable stereo image. Each capsule has its own controls, allowing independent adjustment of directionality, high-pass filter and attenuation pad. This freedom makes it possible to exploit techniques such as XY, Mid-Side or Blumlein, without needing to physically modify the assembly in the suspension supplied.
The top of the microphone can be rotated up to 90° to refine the stereo scene depending on the source. The internal electronics are based on an ultra-quiet Class-A FET circuit, providing clean, balanced reproduction across the entire spectrum. The extended response and low noise make it equally useful for orchestral ensembles, guitars, grouped vocals, percussion or ambient recording.
As for accessories, the CK-40 comes with a retro-style suspension, 5-pin XLR cable, 1×2 stereo splitter box, 30-foot cable, foam windscreen and padded wooden case, making it a ready-to-use solution for all situations requiring accurate and versatile stereo recording.
