Presentation
Designed to meet the demands of professional audio systems, the B&C Speakers 10FCX64 8 Ohm is a 10-inch coaxial speaker that combines power and precision. Thanks to its coaxial architecture, it offers homogeneous sound reproduction and controlled directivity, thus avoiding the phase shift problems often encountered with traditional multi-way configurations.
The bass section is based on a moisture-treated cone, driven by a 2.5-inch copper voice coil, capable of supporting an AES power of 500 W. Combined with a robust ferrite motor, this design ensures a balanced response and good control of the diaphragm movement, making it particularly suitable for broadcast systems requiring clear and precise sound in the bass and low-mids.
The treble section of the B&C Speakers 10FCX64 is based on a compression driver with a titanium diaphragm, a material renowned for its rigidity and low distortion. Its 2.5-inch aluminum voice coil can handle up to 160 W AES while ensuring detailed and punchy high-frequency reproduction.
The high sensitivity of 104 dB 1W/1m on the HF section promotes efficient reproduction, minimizing the need for excessive amplification. With a frequency response ranging from 65 Hz to 18 kHz and a total quality factor (Qts) of 0.42, this speaker fits easily into compact speakers optimized for dynamic and precise rendering.
