B&C Speakers - 8PS21 16 Ohm

The 8PS21 16 Ohm is part of the B&C Speakers range of professional loudspeakers dedicated to applications where compactness and versatility are essential. With its 8-inch format, it is aimed at loudspeaker designers and integrators looking for an effective solution for covering the mid-bass register in systems with limited volume.

This model operates over a bandwidth of 70 Hz to 3 kHz, making it suitable for many multi-way architectures, in conjunction with a compression driver or tweeter. Its rated power of 200 W enables it to withstand sustained operating levels, while maintaining a stable, controlled response throughout its operating range.

The motor is based on a 2-inch voice coil fitted with copper wire and mounted on a Kapton support, guaranteeing good thermal resistance and reliability for professional use. The ferrite magnet system ensures constant, predictable behaviour, while the aluminium bowl provides mechanical rigidity and efficient heat dissipation.

With an emissive surface area of 220 cm², the 8PS21 offers a good compromise between speed of response and displacement capacity, favouring accurate reproduction of the midrange while retaining presence in the lower end of the spectrum. Its nominal impedance of 16 ohms facilitates series configurations or systems comprising several loudspeakers, particularly in fixed installations or compact line-source loudspeakers.
