B&C Speakers - FB354 16 Ohm Crossover

Designed as a direct solution to complement the DCX354 coaxial driver, the B&C Speakers FB354 16 Ohm offers a simple and effective way to harness its full potential without the need for digital processing.

It was specifically designed to work with the ME464 horn, which has a response down to 300 Hz, to provide a seamless, reliable package that can be immediately used in point-source speakers or custom systems.

Passive crossover occurs at 5.6 kHz using an asymmetrical design that combines a slope of 18 dB/octave on the midrange side and 12 dB/octave on the treble side. This setting promotes a smooth transition between the DCX354's two diaphragms, avoiding phase imbalances and irregularities around the crossover frequency. This improves listening precision without sacrificing clarity or dynamics, even when the system is under heavy load.

To protect components from overload, the FB354 incorporates a protection system based on filament bulbs. This method allows for power peaks to be managed without altering the sound color or causing sudden clipping, which is particularly valuable in high sound pressure environments.

Easy to integrate into an OEM speaker or custom project thanks to its compact 100 x 110 mm size, it attaches via standard PCB mounting points. The nominal impedance of 8 ohms allows direct compatibility with most amplifiers, without any specific adaptation.
