Presentation
The Recone Kit 18 PZB 46 8 Ohm includes all the components needed to restore the motor: 100 mm copper coil, double spider, treated diaphragm, central dome, centring and appropriate connectors. The whole unit has been specifically designed to deliver the same power handling (up to 1400 W in continuous programme) and linear excursion as the original model. Its efficiency, measured at 97 dB SPL at 1 W/1 m, as well as its sensitivity over the entire useful band (40 Hz - 2 kHz), remain faithful to the factory specifications.
The initial structure is based on a long coil mounted on a glass fibre support, immersed in an 8 mm magnetic gap, with a 21 mm winding and a 1.15 T flux. The overall electroacoustic behaviour - with a Qts of 0.37, a Vas of 155 litres and an Xmax of ±8 mm - makes it an ideal loudspeaker for pure bass or subwoofers with a relatively controlled load volume.
This replacement kit is the ideal solution for extending the life of a B&C 18PZB46 8 Ohm loudspeaker without compromising performance or reliability.
