The B&C Speakers WGXDE800 8 Ohm Driver + ME242 has been designed to meet the demands of modern line-array systems. This package combines the performance of the DE800 driver, renowned for its clarity and robustness, with the efficiency of the ME242 horn, specifically optimised for applications with extended horizontal coverage.
The DE800 motor, based on a neodymium magnet system, uses a 3-inch aluminium voice coil and a polyimide/titanium composite diaphragm, guaranteeing excellent thermal control and a smooth response in the 1 kHz to 18 kHz range. With a sensitivity of 108dB SPL, it delivers accurate, dynamic and detailed sound, perfectly suited to high-power configurations.
The ME242 moulded aluminium horn provides effective loading from 800 Hz and a constant horizontal dispersion of 120°, limiting interference and ensuring optimum sound coherence across the entire listening surface. This model has a compact design (163 × 130 × 180 mm), making it easy to integrate into multi-module systems.
With a rated power of 110 W AES and a maximum power of 220 W, this set combines performance and reliability in a lightweight 3.3 kg package. Its robust design and high-quality materials make it the ideal choice for touring systems, modular loudspeakers and fixed installations looking for precision and durability.
