The B&C Speakers DCX462 8 Ohm Coax Driver is part of the new generation of compression drivers developed by the Italian brand after several years of research. This model features a double coaxial diaphragm design, a major innovation that covers an extremely wide bandwidth while ensuring perfect phase coherence between the midrange and treble registers.
Its midrange diaphragm, fitted with a 100 mm voice coil, covers the range from 300 Hz to 5.5 kHz with a sensitivity of 111.1 dB and a power handling capacity of 220 W continuous. The high-frequency diaphragm, fitted with a 65 mm voice coil, extends the response to 18 kHz with a sensitivity of 111.4 dB and a continuous power handling capacity of 160 W. The patented integration of the two sections ensures smooth operation over the entire useful band, minimising distortion and maximising linearity.
The DCX462 benefits from a powerful, compact neodymium magnet, guaranteeing a stable magnetic field and high efficiency. High-temperature polymer diaphragms ensure remarkable thermal resistance and sonic consistency even at high SPL levels. With its 2-inch throat, it can be adapted to a wide variety of professional horns, making it a versatile base for the design of high-output loudspeakers.
