B&C Speakers - DCX354 8 Ohm Coax Driver

The B&C Speakers DCX354 8 Ohm Coax Driver is an annular chamber coaxial driver designed to meet the growing needs of modern sound systems, particularly those requiring high source density, high power, and a smaller footprint.

Establishing the principles of the DCX series, but in a more compact format, the DCX354 integrates two separate transducers in a common chassis, each dedicated to a specific frequency band, for extended coverage and optimal acoustic coherence.

The midrange driver sits on a 76 mm aluminum voice coil, capable of handling 180 W of continuous power. Its high-temperature polymer diaphragm adopts a patented shape that allows for progressive decoupling of the peripheral areas as the frequency increases, thus reducing distortion and expanding the usable bandwidth up to 6 kHz.

This behavior allows for a more flexible connection with the tweeter, which uses a 51 mm voice coil, also made of aluminum, to cover the 5 kHz to 20 kHz range with a sensitivity of 112.8 dB and a power output of 100 W.

The neodymium magnet system guarantees high flux density while reducing overall weight. The DCX354 also benefits from a patented midrange integrator, which allows the two diaphragms to operate in sync, ensuring coherent radiation and excellent filtering flexibility.

All this is combined in a format measuring only 130 mm in diameter and 73 mm in depth, weighing 2.43 kg, with a common exit on a 36 mm throat. This coaxial speaker stands out for its efficiency, controlled directivity, and simplified integration into line-source systems or compact speakers.
