Black Lion's Micro Clock MKIII is much more than just a Word Clock. This 100% redesigned model draws on nearly ten years of research and development to offer a master clock that not only synchronises all your digital devices efficiently, but also improves their sound reproduction.

Compared with the MKII, the Micro Clock MKIII benefits from improved galvanic isolation, independent output drivers, even more precise signal division and enhanced noise filtering throughout the circuit.

The result is jitter reduced to 1.92 picoseconds RMS on the BNC outputs, accompanied by a rich harmonic spectrum that gives the sockets an undeniably musical edge. This improvement in the clock signal translates into a more precise stereo image, better-defined effects and a more natural perception of space.

The connectivity also meets the needs of today's studios. The Micro Clock MKIII offers six BNC outputs up to 384 kHz, an AES/EBU port on XLR, an S/PDIF output on RCA and an optical output. All the essential frequencies are available, from 44.1 to 384 kHz depending on the output used. Frequency selection is via a rotary encoder, which can be locked to prevent accidental manipulation, and information is displayed clearly on a contrast-adjustable LED screen.

Designed for both studio and mobile use, this clock fits into a 1U rack-mountable chassis, with removable brackets for half-rack use. It is powered by 9V DC via a standard connector.
