Boss - BIC-1AA

The Boss BIC-1AA takes care of the critical link with the same metallurgical rigour as a long-distance stage cable: the sound goes right through, in its entirety. Between two effects pedals, the signal is exposed, no length of cable masks construction defects, no approximate shielding goes unnoticed on a stage pedalboard subjected to the vibrations of the SPL and the power spikes of power strips.

Thirty centimetres is enough, as long as every millimetre is just right. The oxygen-free copper conductor maintains minimal internal resistance along this ultra-short path, which is precisely what counts when several patches are linked in series - each link preserved, a cumulative signal arrives cleanly at the amp. The robust braided shielding forms an electromagnetic envelope that is hermetically sealed from interference generated by the isolated power supplies on board the pedalboard itself. The woven outer casing takes the permanent bends imposed by the proximity of the boxes without becoming brittle when cold.

The two angled 6.35 mm jacks, with 24K gold-plated contacts, fit flat against the side of the pedals, reducing lateral bulk and mechanically protecting the jack output of compact pedals with plastic chassis. This low profile is a necessity on the Nano and Mini formats. Guaranteed for life, the BIC-1AA is a chainstay patch - the kind you install once and forget about, because it won't fail.
