Incorporating a special bass version of BOSS' most advanced tone generator, the GT-1B is packed with superior sonic tools. A wide range of preamps are available to shape your natural sound, including new versions of GT-10B favourites and two all-new models. Premium CDM effects such as Limiter and Distortion use advanced BOSS technology to maintain the characteristics and response of your instrument, so you don't lose any of your expressiveness. Graphic EQ, T-Wah and other essential effects are also available, as well as high-impact effects such as Harmonist, Bass Synth, Defretter... There's also a full range of modulations, delays and reverbs, and even a looper for playing alone or boosting your creativity in real time.
The GT-1B has been designed for bassists who move around a lot. It's surprisingly light and compact, making it ideal for smaller stages and situations where you need to travel light. Its modern, sturdy design means it can be slipped into the accessory compartment of a bass case, without fear of damage to your instrument from sharp parts. Powered by batteries or AC adapter, you can enjoy your range of sounds anywhere, in any situation.
The GT-1B's intuitive interface makes it easy to build sounds and fine-tune their parameters, even if you've never used a multi-effect before. Dedicated buttons provide immediate access to editing each effect category, which you can then adjust using three rotary knobs on the cabinet. The knobs also function as on/off switches, with status indicators that clearly show which categories are available. The Easy Select and Easy Edit functions make sound creation even simpler, enabling professionals and beginners alike to achieve successful multi-effect sounds with just a few simple manipulations.
At BOSS Tone Central you'll find a wide selection of free patches for the GT-1B. Programmed by top bassists, these patches are ready to use and provide advanced players with a solid foundation for refining their personal sound. The free BOSS Tone Studio software provides a complete editing and filing interface for the GT-1B, as well as integrated access to the entire BOSS Tone Central patch collection.
The GT-1B's three footswitches are intelligently designed for patch selection, tuner access, looper control and more, all in a compact footprint. The CTL1 switch can be freely assigned to functions such as tap tempo or effects on/off, while the expression pedal and mini switch can be assigned to volume, wah-wah, pitch shift or other effect parameters. If you want even more control, a connector lets you add up to two external footswitches or an expression pedal. As for the GT-1B's USB port, as well as giving you access to BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio, it lets you record your bass lines with effects directly into your music creation software.
