Created to mark the brand’s 30th anniversary, Cayin’s Pearl 30C CD transport features 192 kHz oversampling and a comprehensive range of connections (I2S, AES/EBU, ST Glass) to pair with any DAC, ideally the Pearl 30D. Equipped with an external power supply unit featuring two Dual C transformers, it delivers ultra-stable and completely silent power to each circuit. Its state-of-the-art Philips CD-PRO2 top-loading mechanism is combined with a 10 MHz OCXO clock to eliminate jitter and ensure flawless playback.

The Cayin CD Pearl 30C CD player is aimed at music lovers who enjoy listening to CDs and wish to get the most out of their CD collection. Designed to mark the 30th anniversary of the Cayin brand, this unit is powered by a separate external power supply, housed in a remote unit to minimise electrical interference.
Two Dual C transformers operate in parallel: one for the oscillator and digital circuits, the other dedicated to the playback mechanism. A super-linear regulation circuit comprising six groups of discrete components complements this power supply to provide a stable current to each section.
At the heart of the player, the top-loading Philips VAU1255/31LF CD-PRO2 mechanism plays both commercial CDs and CD-Rs equally well. A 10 MHz OCXO clock, combined with a jitter-reduction circuit, minimises distortion in the digital signal, whilst an oversampling function allows you to switch between the native 44.1 kHz mode and a 192 kHz upsampling mode directly from the supplied remote control.
In terms of connectivity, the Pearl 30C offers RCA and BNC coaxial outputs, Toslink and ST Glass optical outputs, AES/EBU and HDMI i2S, as well as a clock input/output for synchronisation with an external device. This versatility allows it to be paired with most DACs and DAC amplifiers on the market, with a particular affinity for the Cayin Pearl 30D DAC.
