A resolutely modern electric guitar, the X700 Duality II features a flamed maple top on a mahogany body that together provide an excellent balance between warm, full bass and bright, transparent treble that will cut through the mix with authority. It is equipped with Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic Humbuckers that now feature a new 3rd voice.

- While traditional humbuckers, when split to create a single coil sound, can be weak and unconvincing, the new Fishman Voice 3 delivers a truly authentic single coil tone that only Fluence technology can provide.
- 3-Piece Maple and Panga Panga Neck:
The strength and brightness of the maple are ideally balanced with the warm midrange of the Panga Panga, resulting in superb playability, feel and tonal definition.
Stainless steel frets provide excellent corrosion resistance.
The wide and tall fret design provides quick response, good articulation when playing in chords and a clear tone on single note.
Luminlay side markers allow the player to easily see the fretboard markers when playing on dark stages.
- Cort CFA-III Tremolo:
Hardware also has a significant influence on the acoustic characteristics of the guitar and the X700 Duality II features the Cort CFA-III Tremolo System with a metal injection molding manufacturing technique with stainless steel used on the saddle, bridge plate and block for a big, solid, bold and articulate sound as well as enhanced sustain.
The recessed tremolo bridge allows pulls to raise the pitch as well as push down to lower the pitch, providing greater tremolo versatility.
