D'Angelico - Premier Bowery 12 LS Satin Vintage Natural

With the Premier Bowery 12 LS Vintage Natural, D’Angelico has created a cutaway 12-string dreadnought in which every chord unfolds into a crystalline halo. The laminated spruce top carries the high harmonics to a metallic shimmer, whilst the laminated mahogany back and sides provide a warm, round bass foundation. The rosewood bridge channels the vibration of the strings into a rich, textured tone, supported by PPS saddles that ensure stable tuning.

The mahogany neck, featuring a scarf joint at the headstock and a C-shaped profile, is joined to the body via a dovetail joint. Twenty medium-jumbo frets run along a rosewood fingerboard, where acrylic mother-of-pearl inlays—paired with side inlays along the edge—guide the eye without interfering with playing. The double-action truss rod, adjustable directly from the soundhole, corrects neck curvature without the need for disassembly. The chrome-finished Stairstep Wave tuners maintain the tuning of the twelve strings with consistent tension, supported by a Skyscraper aluminium truss rod cover and a Cupola headpin, which characterise the Standard headstock, adorned with the D’Angelico New York and Premier Shield logos in acrylic beneath a single-ply binding.

Beneath the top, an X-Scalloped bracing pattern allows bass frequencies to flow towards a three-ring ABS soundhole, whilst the cutaway body—with no binding, no centre line on the back and no pickguard—highlights the natural curves of the mahogany. A piezo pickup transmits the signal to the D’Angelico MG-30 preamp, featuring a built-in tuner and EQ and volume controls, allowing the instrument to be plugged in on stage or in the studio. The factory-fitted D’Addario EXP-38 strings, PPS bridge pins and chrome strap buttons complete a configuration tailored for folk, acoustic rock and ensembles where double strings broaden the acoustic landscape. The standard mono jack output simplifies direct connection; a case is not included. Assembled in Indonesia, this Bowery 12 LS is equally at home in rehearsal and in the recording studio.
