D'Angelico - Premier Gramercy LS Satin Natural
D'Angelico Premier Gramercy LS Satin Natural The satin finish of the D'Angelico Premier Gramercy LS Natural feels inviting to the touch even before you pluck the first string. Featuring a Grand Auditorium body in laminated spruce and mahogany, and an MG-30 preamp with built-in tuner, this instrument is tailor-made for fingerstyle playing, intimate live performances and direct recording.
Presentation
The laminated spruce top channels the attack of the strings into a clear tone, supported by laminated mahogany sides and back which lend the bass a woody richness. The rosewood bridge transmits the vibration to the PPS nut, which remains stable under the tension of the six strings. The scarf-jointed mahogany neck, with a C-shaped profile, joins the body via a dovetail joint; twenty medium-jumbo frets run along a rosewood fingerboard edged with single-ply binding and marked with acrylic mother-of-pearl inlays, complemented by side markers. The double-action truss rod is adjusted via the five-ring ABS rosette, whilst the X-Scalloped bracing opens up the acoustic space in the bass register. A standard headstock, an aluminium Skyscraper truss rod cover, a Cupola headpin and acrylic D’Angelico New York and Premier Shield logos complete the look, set against cream binding and a matching satin finish; the body features single-ply black binding, with no centre line on the back.
A built-in piezo pickup powers the D’Angelico MG-30 preamp, which features a tuner and EQ and volume controls. D’Addario EXP-16 strings, PPS tuning pegs and chrome strap buttons form a setup designed for fingerstyle and acoustic accompaniment. Standard mono jack output; assembled in Indonesia.

D'Angelico is a New York brand of electric guitars that has existed since 1938. First went unnoticed because the guitars were manufactured only by hand in a very small workshop by two luthiers; it is in 2011, at a show at the New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, that D'Angelico is noticed. Since then, D'Angelico guitars have been a real success thanks to their quality of manufacture and their price.
