DBX - ZonePRO 640

The DBX 640 ZonePRO is a digital audio processor designed to meet the demands of modern commercial sound systems. With its six inputs and four outputs, it offers great routing flexibility, allowing different audio sources to be distributed to several independent zones whilst applying specific processing to each one.

Designed with system integrators in mind, it brings together all the essential DSP processing functions in a single unit. The inputs feature gain controls, equalisation and advanced microphone processing, including automatic gain control, compression, noise gate, de-essing and AFS™ feedback suppression. The outputs, meanwhile, feature parametric equalisers, high-pass and crossover filters, limiters, delays and the proprietary AutoWarmth technology, developed in collaboration with JBL, which naturally enhances the reproduction of low frequencies even at low listening levels.

The internal routing system allows for the management of priorities between different sources, ducking functions for voice announcements, and the sharing of inputs across multiple units via the integrated analogue bus. This architecture facilitates the creation of scalable installations suitable for buildings of all sizes.

The DBX 640 also offers a range of control options, from Zone Controller wall-mounted panels to control via RS-232. Its real-time clock enables configuration changes to be automated according to predefined schedules. Finally, the ZonePRO Designer software fully simplifies configuration, monitoring and maintenance thanks to an intuitive graphical interface and a quick commissioning wizard.
