DBX - ZonePRO 640M

The DBX 640M is a matrix audio processor designed to meet the needs of professional sound reinforcement installations requiring rapid deployment, high reliability and consistent audio quality. Thanks to its pre-configured architecture, it significantly simplifies system design whilst retaining the flexibility needed to meet the requirements of shops, hotels, restaurants, schools, meeting rooms and public spaces.

The unit features six inputs, comprising four balanced mic/line inputs via Euroblock connectors and two pairs of RCA inputs summed to mono for easy connection of consumer audio sources. Each mic input has independent gain control to optimise the level of each source. The input processing includes all the essential functions for professional sound reinforcement, whilst two insert points allow specific processing to be added according to the requirements of each channel.

At the heart of the system, the routing matrix ensures flexible distribution of the various sources to the four available outputs. Each output benefits from dedicated processing and AutoWarmth technology, which maintains natural low-frequency reproduction when the volume level decreases. An additional insert point is also available on each output to further expand the processing possibilities.

The DBX 640M also features a link bus that allows the first six audio channels to be routed to a second ZonePRO processor when more playback zones are required. The entire system can be controlled from the front panel, via optional wall-mounted controllers, via Ethernet or RS-232. Finally, the ZonePRO Designer software simplifies configuration, monitoring and adjustments thanks to an intuitive graphical interface accompanied by a set-up wizard.
