DigiTech's DOD Compressor 280 is a pedal that balances vintage elegance with modern efficiency. It uses the legendary optical circuit from the 70s, reissued in 2014 with true bypass, blue LED and a modern 9 V power supply, to fully respect the guitar signal.
With just two controls, Comp (compression) and Level (output volume), it's intuitive to use while keeping playing dynamics under control. At low settings, it subtly smoothes the volume, ideal for clean styles; at full gain, it offers extreme sustain and expressive crush.
Lightweight (aluminium) and robust, it's reliable and affordable. To stabilise your attack, extend notes and reinforce articulation, from country to funk to rock, it deserves its place on your pedalboard.
